Craft & Calm is an independent online publication about making things by hand, looking after a home, and slowing everyday life down a little. It is written for people who enjoy creative projects but do not have unlimited time, money or space.
The idea behind the site is simple: small creative habits and a well-kept home can make ordinary days feel calmer and more enjoyable. You do not need a studio, a big budget or a perfect house to start.

How we write
- Useful first. Every article should leave you able to do something: make it, fix it, organize it or try it.
- Honest and realistic. We say when a project is fiddly, when a cheaper option works just as well, and when something is not worth the effort.
- Original work. Articles are written for Craft & Calm. We do not copy other publishers, and we credit sources and inspiration when we use them.
- Kept up to date. When an article is improved or corrected, the updated date at the top changes. If you spot a mistake, please tell us.
- Clearly labeled. If an article ever includes sponsored content or affiliate links, it will say so. Advertising never decides what we write about.
